Venerable Tahoe Donner has recently named Annie Rosenfeld as the association’s new general manager.
Tahoe Donner says “amongst several hundred applicants from across the nation, one standout individual – Annie Rosenfeld – held the most relevant expertise to lead Tahoe Donner.” She is the first female to hold the highest staff leadership position at Tahoe Donner in more than 40 years.
Located 18 miles from Lake Tahoe in Truckee, Tahoe Donner is a prominent resort community with nearly 6,500 properties and 25,000 members enjoying over 7,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada.
Tahoe Donner operates a wide variety of recreational facilities, including a newly renovated and award-winning championship golf course, a family-friendly downhill ski resort and a renowned cross country ski center with a state-of-the-art base lodge – all of which are open to the public.
Tahoe Donner has an expansive homeowner’s association and mountain community, boasting nearly 6,500 properties.
Rosenfeld has served in various capacities with the Tahoe Donner association for more than 20 years, She brings decades of personal and professional experience to the role.
“Annie Rosenfeld has been preparing for this position at Tahoe Donner for the past 20 years. Following a nationwide search, Annie was the board’s unanimous choice. We are thrilled to have her as our general manager,” said Don Koenes, Tahoe Donner Association Board of Directors President.
Rosenfeld first joined the Tahoe Donner as the recreation manager in 2003. Following graduate school, she eventually added to her resume by becoming the capital projects manager, director of human resources and risk management, and director of risk management and real property.
More recently, Rosenfeld was named the director of administrative services. She has been serving as the interim general manager since August 2023.
“I’ve dedicated much of my life to improving and enhancing this community. I’m proud to have built strong relationships with so many members and watched their families grow,” Rosenfeld said. “I couldn’t be more honored to serve as the general manager. I look forward to continuing to lead and work amongst this wonderful team.”
Rosenfeld is looking toward the future while remaining committed to the association’s mission and values and preserving the community feel that makes living and recreating in Tahoe Donner special.
She will continue to work with staff to create and support lasting and unique experiences for members while prioritizing enhancement, sustainability, emergency preparedness and safety. Rosenfeld is excited to demonstrate her leadership abilities through diligent planning, collaborative partnerships with the board, committees and external entities and a focus on fiscal responsibility.
