Due to a mild winter, the golf season in the Lake Tahoe region has enjoyed an early start. One more golf course will be opening this week. The Tahoe Donner Golf Course will begin offering play Friday, May 15, conditions permitting.
The Tahoe Donner Golf Course is a true mountain course where golfers can enjoy the peace and quiet of the natural surroundings. Located just minutes off Interstate 80 in Truckee, Tahoe Donner Golf Course is one of the premier public golf courses in the High Sierra.
Tahoe Donner Golf Course is an18-hole, par-72 course that measures 7,002 yards at its tips. The golf course encompasses 200 acres of pristine Sierra landscape with towering pines, featuring stunning views, meandering creeks, granite rock formations, elevation changes, and greens so consistently pure they have been recognized as the “Best Greens in the Tahoe Region.”
Golfers who want to work on their game can visit the driving range, which is currently open seven days a week.
Cost to play 18 holes at Tahoe Donner Golf Course ranges from $20 to $125, depending on time of day and if you are a member or among the general public.
This golf season, Tahoe Donner Golf Course is offering drop-in golf clinics that are offered multiple times per week for $20 per golfer. There are also private, customizable lessons available.
Group outings this spring or summer at Tahoe Donner Golf Course start as low as $62. Groups can enjoy a day out on the golf course and then take advantage of wrapping up the day at The Lodge Restaurant & Pub, a full-service restaurant and pub with outdoor seating located right near the golf course. Golfers’ Happy Hour also starts May 15 with food and drink specials daily from 1-4 p.m.
