Sugar Bowl ski resort in the Lake Tahoe region is currently offering reduced prices on its season passes for the 2014-15 season.
Skiers and riders can get free skiing and riding this spring at Sugar Bowl with the purchase of a 2014-15 season pass. Sugar Bowl has lowered prices for most season passes and expanded pass privileges, including limited free skiing at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, plus Sun Valley and Grand Targhee when booking lodging.
Season passes purchased this spring are good for the rest of the 2013-14 ski season. Passes are on sale and lift tickets purchased on the last weekend of March can be applied to the cost of a season pass.
Pass options also include special pricing for Sugar Bowl-Royal Gorge combo passes, accessing 200km of groomed XC trails across 6,000 acres at North America’s largest cross country resort. Royal Gorge XC stand-alone season passes are also available.
Sugar Bowl received more than 38 inches of fresh snow from recent winter storms, settling into a sustained period of snow that should set up good conditions the remainder of the season. Sugar Bowl plans to operate until at least April 20 this season.
Season pass sales also include access to a vast amount of terrain never before open to Sugar Bowl season pass holders.
New this season, Sugar Bowl Unrestricted season passholders will get four free lift tickets to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Slightly Restricted season passholders will get three free lift tickets to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Midweek passholders will get two free lift tickets to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Lift tickets are valid Sunday-Friday, non-holiday, during the 2014/15 ski season.
Sugar Bowl is also continuing their partnership with Sun Valley and Grand Targhee resorts, which offers limited free skiing to season passholders when booked in conjunction with lodging.
Season passholders also are automatically entered into the CORE rewards program, where skiing and food and beverage purchases add up to rewards.
Sugar Bowl, located off Interstate 80 at the Norden exit, typically receives the most annual snowfall in Tahoe, and has a wealth of backcountry access from the resort’s open boundaries. The resort is the closest to Sacramento and the Bay Area, and is known for short lift lines, easy parking and a skiing-centric vibe.
