Another winter storm has descended on the Lake Tahoe region, dropping sizable amounts of snow at area ski resorts.
The storm arrived on Wednesday and continued throughout today (Feb. 27). According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), today’s storm is the first of a three-storm series expected to hit the region through Sunday.
Here’s a look at what several Lake Tahoe ski resorts are reporting.
Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley
The winter storm sweeping through the Sierra Nevada has brought 13 inches of fresh snow to Squaw Valley and 10 inches to Alpine Meadows by this afternoon, And more good news: the snow continues to fall at both resorts.
Skiers and snowboarders looking to take full advantage of the fresh snow can purchase the Tahoe Super 4 Pack. The 4 Pack offers four unrestricted days of skiing and riding anytime this season for less than $88 a day for adults, $75 for young adults and seniors, and $50 for kids. There are no blackout dates.

Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows currently have a combined 27 lifts and 135 trails open.
Northstar California
Northstar California ski resort received 7 inches of fresh snow Wednesday night and delivered an additional two inches accumulation since 6 a.m. this morning, bringing the storm total to 9 inches by this afternoon.
The forecast calls for an additional six to 11 inches within the next 24 hours, and an additional eight to 14 inches throughout Friday.
“The new snow is just fantastic. And with more forecast, skiers and riders can look forward to an incredible experience this weekend on the slopes, as well during the months to come,” said Rachael Woods, senior communications manager for Northstar California.

Heavenly Mountain
By this afternoon Heavenly Mountain ski resort had received 11 inches of snow. With snow in the forecast again for tonight and Friday, it should set the resort up for some terrific skiing and riding conditions this weekend.
Diamond Peak
Diamond Peak ski resort in InclineVillage received 6 inches of new snow overnight and more arrived today.
Adult daily lift tickets are only $59 and Celebrity Winterfest and the Tahoe Mtn. Sports Nachtspektakel are scheduled for this weekend.
