Although the conditions aren’t optimal right now at Lake Tahoe ski resorts, two of Tahoe’s resorts – Sierra-at-Tahoe, Diamond Peak – report they have plenty of available terrain for the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.
The resort near South Lake Tahoe off Highway 50 is open and offers guests fun mountain activities for all ability levels. Sierra-at-Tahoe, has top to bottom skiing/riding, including 23 open trails and 6 lifts, a terrain park with small to medium features, and snow play.
Current conditions at Sierra-at-Tahoe, offer families, beginners, and intermediates a great opportunity to enjoy the sunshine and learn to ski in snowboard in comfortable conditions.
Sierra-at-Tahoe resides on Echo Summit
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort sits on the top of Echo Summit, which traditionally receives the most snow in the Lake Tahoe basin. The mountain is also north facing and allows snow to stay longer and gives guests a great product to ski/ride.
“There is plenty of winter left, and we are extremely proud of the product that we currently have on the mountain. We are scheduled and committed to offer skiing/riding through mid-April,” said Sierra-at-Tahoe General Manager, John Rice.
Guests at Sierra-at-Tahoe can also see current conditions every Friday by watching the “Goggles Don’t Lie” online. Skeptics need to ski it to believe it. California sunshine, white snow and fresh air create an environment for memories that will last a lifetime.
