The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe has scheduled an event in September that will be appealing to both foodies and wine lovers.
The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe will welcome foodies and fans of the culinary arts to the property September 11-13, for the 30th annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival. The resort will host special events over the course of the weekend, including Art of Mixology, and a Tahoe Long Table Harvest Dinner.
“Every year, the Autumn Food & Wine Festival signals the start of one of the best times of year to be in Lake Tahoe,” said Stanley Miller, executive chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. “The fall colors, flavors and special culinary events make it the perfect time to be in the region. We look forward to welcoming guests to the resort to participate in the new and returning events we have planned for this year’s event weekend.”
Events scheduled at the resort during the Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival include. The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is located at mid-mountain at Northstar California.
Art of Mixology: Participants will incorporate freshly cut herbs from the chef’s garden, use of classic ingredients such as bitters, and learn how to use infused liquor to create summer cocktails.
This entertaining, educational experience will take place at The Backyard Bar & BBQ at Sept. 11 from 4-5 p.m., and will feature three cocktails paired with appetizers.
Cost is $40 per person. Advance purchase of tickets is required. Walk-ins will be accepted on a space-available basis.
Wine Inspired Painted Vine Event: The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe will join with The Painted Vine, a local business based in Truckee, to offer a special evening of wine tasting and painting of a vintner-inspired picture on Friday, Sept. 11 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Cafe Blue. The session will include a painting class for two, cheese and dessert stations, wine and beverages.
Cost is $100 per person. Reservations are required.48-hours in advance.
Tahoe Long Table Harvest Dinner: Guests are invited to join Stanley Miller, executive chef of The Ritz-Carlton on Saturday, Sept. 12 (6:30 p.m.) as he prepares the Tahoe Long Table Harvest Dinner.
The meal features a family-style dinner presentation of a special harvest menu that incorporates the freshest, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. This seasonally-inspired dinner will seat guests together at a long table on the Manzanita Terrace to enjoy six courses with wine pairings al fresco with views of the surrounding mountains.
Cost is $125 per person with wine pairings. Advance reservations are required.
The culinary weekend concludes Sunday, September 13 in The Village at Northstar with the Culinary Competition and Grand Tasting, which the culinary team from The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe will participate in.
