Following a tremendous ski season a year ago with record-setting snow totals, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe will once again have a number of enticing offerings and programs for the 2017-18 ski season in Lake Tahoe.
Located mid-mountain at Northstar California ski resort, the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is a luxury ski-in/ski-out property. Guests this winter will be invited to reserve the resort’s signature Winter Après Adventurist packages and experience après-ski offerings, winter-themed spa treatments and fitness classes, and more.
Beginning on Dec. 1, snow enthusiasts can reserve the Après Adventurist Winter Package and the Pinnacle Après Adventurist Winter Package. Debuted last winter season, the innovative Après program is something to seriously consider for ski and snowboarding enthusiasts.
Led by the resort’s experienced and knowledgeable team of experts, the program runs throughout the year, curating both winter and summer related activities.
Après Adventurist Winter Package: This package allows guests to transition from an eventful day in the snow to a calm and cozy atmosphere in their suite, carefully prepared by the Après Adventurist. The Après Adventurist will light the in-suite fireplace, prepare appetizers and warming beverages, such as hot chocolate for the kids and hot toddies for the adults, as well as curate complimentary board games and movies.
A soothing bubble bath can also be waiting for adventurers seeking to relax aching muscles. The package includes personal ski valet services with the Après Adventurist who can escort visitors through an action-packed ski experience or be on-hand to facilitate gear drying, boot warming and welcome-back glasses of Moët & Chandon after a day on the slopes. Personal concierge service for all dining and activity reservations will also be provided throughout the stay.
The Après Adventurist Winter Package starts at $1,199 per suite, per night and is available in the premium room category of a one-bedroom Mountain View suite. An advance 14-day notice is required for booking at which time a non-refundable, full prepayment will be taken. Not available over holidays and black-out periods.
Pinnacle Après Adventurist Winter Package: Available only in the luxurious accommodations of a Residential Suite, this over-the-top package combines extravagance and with a thrilling adventure. This experience offers five-star service throughout the four-night stay.
Visitors will arrive in style via a private jet serviced from San Francisco International Airport to Truckee Tahoe Airport with a house car pick-up and be welcomed to the property by the Après Adventurist, who will facilitate the full vacation from start to finish.
Exceptional offerings arranged by the personal Après Adventurist include a private heli-skiing/snowboarding experience on remote vistas of the nearby Ruby Mountains, an Arctic Cat adventure tour, a snowmobile tour, a private snowshoe stargazing tour, and other incredible experiences.
Guests will receive red carpet on-mountain treatment at Northstar California as well with the Northstar Platinum Pass, Platinum tōst, complimentary ski/snowboarding equipment with a private demo fitting, private guide and first tracks privileges. The Platinum Day Pass now includes access to Platinum Piste, an exclusive location-rotating run offered on Saturdays, providing the best conditions throughout the day – whether it’s 10 inches of powder or immaculate corduroy.
To soothe sore muscles, guests will receive private after-hours access to The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Lake Tahoe with a choice of four signature 80-minute spa treatments; in-residence dinner prepared by the resort’s chef; in-room sommelier service to find the perfect wine pairing with the prepared dinner or a lively mixologist experience; fully stocked fridge and premium bar customized to guest preferences; a private Marshmology experience including a s’mores bar and premium beverages; and a Chef Table dinner experience in Manzanita.

The Pinnacle Après Adventurist Winter Package starts at $125,000 for a four-night stay in a three-bedroom Residential Suite, with a maximum of four guests.

Winter Culinary and Spa Offerings: Known as a year-round dining destination, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe will offer culinary programming for the winter season. This winter and all year long, resort guests are invited to enjoy the resort’s signature Marshmology program, which takes place nightly at the fire pit from 4:30-5 p.m. during the winter season.
