A series of storms in Lake Tahoe has resulted in some fabulous news for Northstar California. The North Lake Tahoe ski resort is reporting 31 inches of snow on its upper slopes, all within the past six days.
Northstar ski resort received an additional six inches of new snow within the last 24 hours. As a result of the more than 2 ½ feet of new snow, Northstar opened 12 additional trails today – including East Ridge, Delight, Stump Alley, Ax Handle, Springboard, Dutchman, The Chute, Tonini’s, Crosscut, Flume, Powder Bowl and Lower Grouse Alley.
Additionally, Pinball is scheduled to open Friday, offering several terrain park features. Northstar ski resort offers North Lake Tahoe’s most-open terrain.
“We’re thrilled with the new snow and by how many additional trails it’s allowed Northstar to open for our guests,” said Beth Howard, vice president and general manager of Northstar. “Conditions are great and with additional snow forecast, skiers and riders can look forward to a fantastic experience as we approach the holidays.”
The National Weather Service is calling for additional snowfall throughout the next three days for the Lake Tahoe region.
Northstar ski resort is offering up to 25 percent savings on advanced purchase lift tickets this season via the new EpicDay Lift Tickets platform, now available across all Vail Resorts. Tickets can be purchased through an easy-to-use online and mobile site, www.snow.com/epicday, and picked up at a designated EpicDay Express Ticket Pick-Up lane at each resort.
