Not only is Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe still open, the Lake Tahoe-area ski resort will be offering discounted tickets for the final two weekends of the season.
Open Thursdays through Sundays until May 8, Mt. Rose ski resort is offering adult lift tickets for $69, and children’s lift tickets for $29 if purchased online in advance. Lift tickets can also be purchased at the resort ticket windows, and are priced at $79 for adults, $39 for kids. Discounted lift tickets will also be available to season passholders from other resorts for $39, and a $39 Buddy Ticket rate will be extended to friends of current Mt. Rose season passholders.
“The spring skiing conditions have been incredible this year, and with more than nine feet of snow still piled up on the summit, we’re pleased to be able to offer reduced rate lift tickets to those who aren’t ready for the season to be over just yet,” said Mike Pierce, director of marketing at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
Located off Mt. Rose Highway in Nevada, Mt. Rose can boast Lake Tahoe’s highest base elevation at 8,260 feet ensuring supreme snow conditions even on the warmest spring days and the resort’s 1,200 acres feature an ample variety of runs ideal for every level of skier & snowboarder.
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe was the first resort to open in Lake Tahoe this season, on Nov. 2, 2015. The resort has concluded daily operations, and will move to Thursday through Sunday operations for the final two weeks of the season, with the last day of scheduled operations to be Sunday, May 8, 2016.
Skiers and snowboarders will have access to beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain serviced by the Northwest Magnum 6, Blazing Zephyr 6, Chuter and Wizard chairlifts. Lifts will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with facilities in the Main Lodge open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including the Lodge Pole Café, Timbers, 431 sports and the Tickets & Season Pass Office.
The Winters Creek Lodge, Slide Bowl parking and tickets, the Adult & Kids Ski School, Equipment Rental and Higher Grounds Coffee Bar are now closed for the season.
For those interested in locking in the best available rates for their 2016-17 season pass and skiing the remainder of this season and all of next, the Spring Plus Premier Pass offers incredible value for those who want the flexibility of being able to ski any day of the season. Valid seven days per week with no blackouts, the Spring Plus Premier Pass is available for $479 for adults ages 24+, $349 for young adults ages 16-23, and $229 for children ages 6-15.
The Spring Plus Midweek Pass is valid Monday through Friday, excluding December 26-30, 2016, and is priced at $379 for any age. All season passes include passholder perks such as First Tracks daily on the Blazing Zephyr 6 chairlift, discounts on buddy tickets, lessons, on-mountain food and beverage, retail and repair.
