Northstar California Resort announced recently that it has appointed Marcie Bradley as the resort’s senior manager of communications.
Bradley will oversee all aspects of communications and public relations at Northstar – including strategic planning and resort messaging, development and management of media relations and will act as a key liaison between Northstar California and community stakeholders. She joins Cassandra Walker, Senior Communications Coordinator, on the Northstar California staff.
Northstar is located on Highway 267, just six miles north of Lake Tahoe and six miles south of downtown Truckee. Northstar California offers 100 ski trails spread across 3,170 acres, award-winning terrain parks and snow sports including alpine and Telemark skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and tubing. Summer activities include mountain biking, golfing, scenic lift rides for sightseeing and hiking, and more.
“Marcie is incredibly talented and will be a great representative of the resort,” said Beth Howard, vice president and general manager of Northstar. “Her understanding of the area as a Truckee local and her extensive experience in the public relations field positions her for great success with Northstar. We are all thrilled to welcome her on board as we prepare for the 2015-16 season.”
Bradley has lived throughout California for the last 16 years after graduating from the University of Maryland’s School of Journalism. She has a strong and demonstrated track record of building global brands and driving traditional and social media strategies for a variety of leading Fortune 500 companies.
During a personal sabbatical through Southeast Asia, she met her husband who was from Truckee, California. The two moved back to the area in 2008 where they take full advantage of the amazing lifestyle and outdoor activities – including skiing, tee times, backcountry hiking, camping and gardening. The two have a 4-year-old daughter, Ellery, and a happy pup and trail companion named Charlee.
