For people in Lake Tahoe who won’t be planning their Sunday around the Super Bowl, three area ski resorts are offering discounted lift tickets for Super Bowl Sunday.
An expected 164 million people will be watching the Super Bowl, so it could be ideal time to hit the slopes and score some of the best deals of the year on lift tickets.
Liftopia, the largest online and mobile marketplace for lift tickets and other mountain activities, has launched its annual Game Day Sale at more than 250 resorts across North America.
Lake Tahoe resorts
- Save 41 percent at Diamond Peak, with 1-day lift tickets starting at $35
- At Sierra-at-Tahoe, save 28 percent with 1-day lift tickets starting at $62
- Enjoy 24 percent savings at Mt. Rose, with 1-day lift tickets starting at $55
“Super Bowl Sunday is one of the best days of the year to get out on the hill. You’ll find wide-open trails, no lift lines, and great bars and restaurants to view the game when it starts at 3:30 p.m.,” a Utopia press release stated. “Since this Sunday is traditionally a low-demand day for resorts, our partners offer some of their best weekend deals of the year for our Game Day Sale.”
Utopia says it operates the largest online and mobile marketplace as well as the largest technology platform serving the ski and mountain activity industry.
Utopia says the average booked savings on last year’s Super Bowl Sunday was 33 percent – representing the best value of any Sunday during the regular ski season.
