There are an abundance of Fourth of July activities in the North Lake Tahoe. There are activities to fit the entire family, ranging from concerts and barbeques to vintage car shows.
However, an Independence Day trip to North Lake Tahoe is not complete without enjoying one of North Tahoe’s award-winning fireworks shows from a balcony, beach or boat.
The entire lineup of Independence Day Fireworks, events and activities at North Lake Tahoe is below:
Friday, July 3
Kings Beach Fireworks and Beach Party: Celebrate Independence Day Eve from 4-10 p.m. at the Kings Beach Fireworks and Beach Party. Throughout the evening entertainment includes patriotic contests, games, music, food vendors as well as a beer, wine and mixed drink garden. The night sky lights up with the signature fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free and preferred fireworks seating is available for $15.
Tahoe Donner Summer Concert On The Green: Tahoe Donner brings back the iconic 60’s with a Beatles tribute band, Britain’s Finest and a Rolling Stones tribute band, the Glimmer Twins, for a special Summer Concert on The Green July 3 from 5-9 p.m. Tickets range from $15 for kids to $35 for adults.
Saturday, July 4:
Red, White, and Tahoe Blue – Incline Village: The village comes to life July 2-4 during the much-anticipated Red, White and Tahoe Blue festival. The three-day patriotic event includes several parades, face painting, flag raising and lowering ceremonies, live music, a Tahoe Firecracker Trail Trek, Rubber Duck Race and more.
Signature Red, White and Tahoe Blue events begin with Wine and Cheese tasting at Aspen Grove Thursday. They then continue Friday with the Day on the Village Green music festival featuring bands like Grand Funk Railroad. The festival concludes Saturday with the award-winning Red, White and Tahoe Blue Fireworks Show paired with a live performance by the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra on the Village Green beginning at 6 p.m.
Tahoe City Beach Bash & Fireworks At Common’s Beach: Spend Independence Day at Common’s beach in Tahoe City at the Bell Bottom Beach Bash. There will be activities for all ages, including hula-hoops, beach balls and cornhole, as well as several food vendors and merchandise vendors. Throughout the day Penney the Clown, Kid Yager and DJ Chapin light up the stage with a variety of talents.
Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Fourth of July Celebration: Join the Hyatt Regency, Lake Tahoe for its annual Cottage Green BBQ and Fireworks Celebration. Admission includes an outdoor buffet dinner and two drink tickets for adults 21+. The Cottage Green is the perfect venue to watch the Incline Village’s fireworks display, voted one of the best in the country.
Fourth of July Kid’s Bike Parade at Northstar California: Northstar California transforms in to a creative and festive affair with the annual 4th of July Kid’s Bike Parade. Kids are invited to decorate their bikes, razors, big wheels, clothing and themselves in the Village from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The escorted parade then begins at 2 p.m. leading participants through the Village in front of the Northstar Fire Department to show off their creative patriotic flair.
Motors in the Mountains at Squaw Valley: Celebrate the Fourth of July with Motors in the Mountains, a classic American car show set against the pristine backdrop of Squaw Valley’s mountains. There will be over 75 classic cars on display as well as delicious BBQ, the Mountain Roots Food Truck and live music from Jacked Up.
Fourth of July Party at West Shore Café: Celebrate the Fourth of July at the West Shore Café. The venue hosts live acoustic music in the afternoon by Ike & Martin, lawn games all day and complimentary S’mores from 8:30-9 p.m. At the end of the night, enjoy the fireworks from West Shore Café’s scenic lakefront deck.
Crystal Bay Casino: After a day enjoying the beach, mountains, events and fireworks, stop by the Crystal Bay Casino for an eccentric and energetic performance by the Dirty Bourbon River Show. Dirty Bourbon melds hard-edged blues, Lisztian piano driven ballads, and New Orleans brass into a new musical landscape, which has been referred to as “New Orleans Big Brass Circus Rock.”
The free concert begins at 10 p.m. July 3-4.
