Sailing anyone?
When considering destinations for holiday travel this year or in 2025, Dream Yacht Worldwide is a viable choice, a leading sea-based vacation company that makes sailing vacations more accessible for all. And no sailing experience is required.
The company continues to see an increase in travelers taking advantage of Caribbean vacations at sea during the holiday season, which is a great opportunity for families and small groups of friends to charter their own boat for the ultimate group or multi-generational trip.
The U.S. Virgin Islands is rising in popularity as a destination. One primary reason is it’s a sailing experience where American travelers aren’t required to have a passport.
“Booking and enjoying a private yacht with family and friends during the holidays is easier and more accessible than many think,” shared Marc Pedrol, Global Marketing and Communications Director, Dream Yacht Worldwide. “The Caribbean is especially popular for a warm-weather retreat. We continue to see growth as sailing becomes more mainstream as a holiday option for U.S. travelers.”
Founded by Loïc Bonnet in 2000 as a six-yacht company based in the Seychelles, Dream Yacht Worldwide is now one of the world’s leading sea vacation companies, offering 30-plus sailing grounds. The group employs team members in more than 30 countries around the globe
Below is an overview of U.S. sales for sailings booked during the holiday months of November and December, compared to departures booked by this time last year:
- British Virgin Island: increase of 22%
- Guadeloupe: increase of 25%
- Saint Martin: increase of 28%
- U.S. Virgin Island: increase of 217%
Dream Yacht makes it easy for travelers to enjoy a sailing vacation with the option to book a skipper to sail the boat and even a hostess to help prepare meals on board – an option available on many of the company’s sailing yachts.
“The appeal of warmer weather destinations during the colder U.S. months and the option of chartering a private boat to go where you want to explore is definitely a strong selling point for groups celebrating the holiday season together,” Pedrol said. “Dream Yacht’s catamarans and monohulls can also access smaller ports and beaches, and our experienced skippers and staff know the best places to celebrate the holiday season in destinations across the globe.”
Solo travelers and couples can take advantage of the company’s cabin charter option for seamless travel experience. Cabin charters offer travelers a private ensuite stateroom on a spacious catamaran along with other like-minded travelers on a set itinerary. Meals, boating operations and activities are also included and overseen by Dream Yacht’s seasoned sailing staff.
While winter months are popular times for Dream Yacht sailing vacations in the Caribbean, the company is offering a special, limited Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Travel Tuesday offer.
Travelers can save 20% on Dream Yacht’s Abacos Dream Special Edition sailing, departing March 1 or March 8, 2025 if booked between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2.
