After patiently waiting for the snow to accumulate in Lake Tahoe, Diamond Peak ski resort is set to open. Opening day is scheduled for today, Dec. 20.

Normal opening is 9 a.m. but Diamond Peak ski resort will get the lifts spinning as soon as the resort is ready. Check Facebook and Twitter for the official announcement. To show our appreciation to season passholders, there will be a free BBQ from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Base Lodge deck at the new Wild Bill’s BBQ.
Diamond Peak ski resort is located in Nevada’s Incline Village. It is an affordable, family-friendly resort that offers great views of Lake Tahoe, a summit elevation of 8,540-feet and a 1,840-foot vertical drop.
Diamond Peak ski resort’s holiday period is December 22 through January 3, 2015. Holiday all-day Adult lift tickets (ages 24-64) are $69 ($64 non-holiday), Youth (ages 13-23) and Senior (ages 65-69) are $59 ($49 non-holiday), and Child (ages 7-12) and Super Senior (ages 70-79) lift tickets are $33 ($24 non-holiday). Kids 6 and under and adults 80 and over ski for free at Diamond Peak. Beginner lift tickets are also available for $39 ($29 non-holiday).

Available in 2 to 7-day increments, this direct-to-lift Flex Pass is fully transferable, can be used any day including holidays, and valid all season long.
