For Diamond Peak passholders, the wait is over. The popular Tahoe ski resort in Incline Village will be open to season passholders and IVGID Passholders, starting Friday (Dec. 4).
Diamond Peak considers this a “soft” opening day. The family-friendly ski resort will be open to the general public Dec. 10.
Unlike several Tahoe ski resorts, Diamond Peak is not currently requiring pass holders or IVGID Passholders to make a reservation to ski or snowboard.
However, non-pass holders must purchase a day lift ticket online or via the Call Center. The resort will have no walk-up lift ticket sales.
Both Kirkwood and Diamond Peak open Friday, bringing the number of Tahoe ski resorts open for the 2020-21 season to 11. Both Northstar California and Heavenly Mountain were the first Tahoe ski resorts to open for the season – on Nov. 20.

Diamond Peak is a community-owned resort known for having fantastic views of Lake Tahoe. This season, Diamond Peak skiers and riders can take advantage of discounted multi-day tickets and free lift tickets for kids 6-under. And Seniors over 80 years-old also ski for free.
“The best way to get acquainted with our unique resort is to come see it for yourself,” said Diamond Peak spokesperson Paul Raymore.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, things will be a little different this season at Diamond Peak and all Tahoe ski resorts. Diamond Peak’s operational plan includes capping daily skier visits to ensure the resort is able to offer skiers and riders a safe and enjoyable experience. Diamond Peak anticipates this limit will only take place only on its busiest peak and weekend dates throughout the winter.
DINING: Due to Covid-19, there will initially be no indoor dining. Outdoor tables on the Base Lodge and Snowflake Lodge sun decks will be first-come first-serve, with a maximum group size of 4 guests.
