Snowfall arrived at Lake Tahoe ski resorts Sunday and the snow is continuing to fall Monday as well, making for a very snowy President’s Day weekend.
Diamond Peak ski resort certainly got its share of new snow, reporting 12 inches in the past 24-hour period. To date, Diamond Peak has received 327 inches of snow this winter, which puts it right around the average mark for a full season’s worth of snowfall. Diamond Peak averages 300-350 inches per winter.
Skiers and snowboarders looking to play in fresh powder can ski or ride at Diamond Peak for as little as $50 per day with a transferrable “Golden” Flex Pass.” The pass is named in honor of the resort’s 50-year anniversary season. And those with a season pass at another resort can also score a $40 Bring Your Other Pass ticket ($50 during holiday periods).

Vail Resorts: Heavenly Mountain was reporting 9 inches of new snow this morning, upping its season-total to 482 inches. Northstar got 8 inches of new snow and now has 490 inches for the 2016-17 ski season. Another 7 inches put Kirkwood’s season total at 508 inches.
Mt. Rose: Blizzard conditions and strong winds shut down Mt. Rose ski resort today. Mt. Rose is located in Nevada on Mt. Rose Highway.
