The nationally-acclaimed celebrity chef Dean Fearing will prepare a five-course, prix fixe menu for up to 150 dining guests at Manzanita, the resort’s signature restaurant on Thursday, January 15, 2015, to kick-off the Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend.
The special one-night-only dinner will feature Fearing’s signature southwestern cuisine, with reservations available from 5:30-9:30 p.m. that evening. See the 5-course menu below.
The creator of Fearing’s Restaurant and its “Elevated American Cuisine – Bold Flavors, No Borders,” chef/partner Fearing has developed one of the hottest dining concepts in the country.
Fearing, the James Beard award-winning chef and partner at Fearing’s Restaurant in The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, will bring his unique creative cooking skills and create a pop-up restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe this winter.
The Ritz-Carlton is 170-room resort, is located at mid-mountain at Northstar California ski resort.

While the exact menu is still to be determined by Chef Fearing, possible dishes may include some of those featured in his newest cookbook, “The Texas Food Bible.”

Long known as the “Father of Southwestern Cuisine”, after 20-plus years at The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Dean Fearing opened Fearing’s in August 2007 at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas. The exuberant, ever-friendly Chef Fearing was winner of the James Beard Foundation Restaurant Award for “Best Chef in the Southwest,” and diners from across the country flock to Dallas to experience his signature dishes.
