It’s been an epic winter for Lake Tahoe ski resorts, who were pummeled for several months and the result was epic snow totals. The Tahoe resorts are now rejoicing with great ski conditions, accommodating spring-like weather, and roads open and stress-free for travelers.
Several Lake Tahoe resorts have announced extending their season and have added spring pass deals, leaving skiers and snowboarders anxious to keep visiting their favorite resorts. The weather is expected to be ideal this weekend, with mild daytime temperatures but low overnight temps that are keeping the winter-like conditions prevalent across the Lake Tahoe Basin and surrounding mountains.
Earlier this week, one more Lake Tahoe ski resort extended its season, thanks to excessive amounts of snow. Sierra-at-Tahoe announced that it has pushed back its closing date to April 23.
It’s been such an incredible winter for snow that at least 11 Lake Tahoe ski resorts have already far surpassed their average season snow totals. The Tahoe resorts have not only exceeded season totals, the numbers are way above average totals.
